Edmund C. Boese, MD

Dr. Boese graduated from Cornell University in 1966.  He attended medical school at PA State Medical School where he got his MD in 1974.  He did his Surgical Internship and his Anesthesia Residency at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey PA.  His training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture came from UCLA and the Academy of Pain and Research in 2007.  Dr. Boese received a certification of Instruction in Primordial Sound Meditation and Ayurvedic Health from the Chopra Center, in Carlsbad CA in the spring and the Fall of 2007 and 2008.  He trained in Structural Acupuncture for Physicians at Harvard from September 2009 until June 2010. 

 

Dr. Boese was employed by Punches, Molina, Jaffe, & Rossway, M.D.P.A. from 1978-81 in Vero Beach FL in the private practice of anesthesia.

 

He has been self-employed as an anesthesiologist since 1981 when he was asked to recruit and start his own group of 3 at Mercy Medical Center in Nampa ID.  There he worked until 1992 when he moved to Rock Springs, WY and was asked to recruit and start another group of 3 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.  He worked here in Rock Springs until December of 2006 as the Chief of Anesthesia.

 

During the 2007 year Dr. Boese practiced some locums anesthesia in Lander, WY.

 

Since then Dr. Boese has pursued the study of Acupuncture.   He finished a 300 hour accredited course through UCLA on October of 2007 and has been practicing acupuncture as treatment of various pain problems since then at Castle Rock Medical Center, a multi-specialty clinic in Green River, WY.  He finished a second 300 hour course from Harvard University in June of 2010.  It further refined his skills and added the perspective of Japanese and German applications of acupuncture.

 

Dr. Boese was hired December 1, 2011 at College Hill Health Clinic to provide Pain Intervention and anesthesia services.  From October of 2010 till now he has also been doing locums O R anesthesia at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County for vacationing physicians.
